About Us

Melanie is a professionally certified educational therapist and Feuerstein Mediator who is both skilled and passionate about helping others become successful learners. 

She and her husband Tom raised their three sons in Papua New Guinea. When  one of them unexpectedly struggled with reading, Melanie was determined to find answers to address dyslexia and ADHD. This led to the beginning of her training, in 1997, with the National Institute for Learning Development (NILD). 

Melanie taught overseas for several years, working with students from various countries and cultures. She has conducted learning workshops in  both in the USA and abroad.

Melanie holds a BS in Elementary Education and an MS in Exceptional Student Education / Educational Therapy. She is a Structured Literacy Dyslexia Specialist, certified through the International Dyslexia Association.

Katrina is a Professionally Certified Education Therapist. She specializes in working with children who have specific learning disabilities in reading, language and math. Katrina holds a BS in Speech Pathology and an MA is Special Education. She has over 30 years' experience working in the homeschool, public, private and special education fields. During that time Katrina repeatedly saw the need for creating additional learning opportunities for children. She spearheaded the creation of, and directed, a new preschool program, created a summer enrichment program and started a homeschool co-op. Katrina is the mother of three, including a child with special needs. She is passionate about helping others overcome learning struggles and giving them the tools to become the people God has created them to be.
