I am a Professionally Certified Educational Therapist and Feuerstein Cognitive Coach with a deep commitment to helping students become confident and successful learners. My passion for educational intervention began while raising my three sons with my husband, Tom, in Papua New Guinea. When one of our sons faced unexpected challenges with reading, I searched for effective solutions to address dyslexia and ADHD. That pursuit led me to begin training with the National Institute for Learning Development (NILD) in 1997.
Since then, I have taught internationally, working with students from diverse cultural and educational backgrounds, and I have had the privilege of leading learning workshops both in the United States and abroad.
I hold a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and a Master of Science in Exceptional Student Education / Educational Therapy. In addition, I am a Structured Literacy Dyslexia Specialist, recognized by the International Dyslexia Association.
I am a Certified Educational Therapist with the National Institute for Learning Development (NILD). I hold a B.A. in English and an M.Ed. in Secondary Education. Over the past sixteen years, I have taught in both private and public schools in Los Angeles, CA, and Melbourne, FL, while also being an active member of the local homeschoo

Over the past sixteen years, I have taught in both private and public schools in Los Angeles, CA, and Melbourne, FL, while also being an active member of the local homeschool community for the past ten years.
I specialize in teaching writing and literature and am especially passionate about supporting students with dyslexia through evidence-based methods rooted in the science of reading. As the parent of a child whose life was transformed by educational therapy, I bring both professional expertise and personal insight to my work.
A lifelong lover of language, I also enjoy writing and editing. I published my first book in 2021 and continue to pursue creative and academic writing alongside my educational work.
I’m an NILD Certified Educational Therapist with over 35 years of teaching experience—and a deep passion for helping students thrive. I love getting to know each child, understanding their unique strengths, and supporting them in areas where they need to grow.

As a teacher, I’m enthusiastic, patient, and encouraging. I celebrate every step of progress, and I’m always excited when a student starts to see just how capable they really are. My goal is to help each student become a confident, independent learner who feels more at ease—and even enjoys—tackling their schoolwork.
I look forward to partnering with you and your child on this learning journey!

I am a recent graduate of the University of Central Florida with a strong passion for helping children discover their potential through education. I am excited to be joining Mind Launch as an intern specializing in the Search and Teach program, where I will support early intervention strategies designed to give young learners the tools they need to succeed.
My passion for education comes from a desire to create an encouraging and empowering learning environment for every child. I believe that when children feel supported and capable, they not only grow academically but also gain the confidence to face challenges with resilience. Through this internship, I look forward to gaining hands-on experience while making a meaningful impact in the lives of students and families.
What inspires me most about Mind Launch is its mission to empower learners and focus on building confidence alongside academic skills. I am eager to contribute to this mission, learn from the team, and bring enthusiasm and dedication to the children I serve.
